History of Fathers Day
Father's day is believed to have originated in Spokane, Washington, USA. in
1910 and became a national celebration in the USA when it was endorsed by President Calvin Coolidge in 1924.
In 1966 it was set in statue in the USA to fall on
the 3rd Sunday of June and over the years this American Holiday has slowly been adopted in the UK and
around the world as a day to celebrate and honour our Dads.
