How to Look After our Plants
Looking after your Jasmine
These instructions are sent with the plant gift
This jasmine (Jasmium polyanthum) is closely related to the garden climber. It will happily flower inside in winter, as long as it receives plenty of sunlight.
To ensure your plant gets enough light, place it near a window in a bright room or conservatory. A cool room is best, try to keep your plant away from any radiators and out of direct sunlight.
In warm weather your Jasmine will also thrive outdoors in a warm sheltered position. When the flowers are over you can even try planting the jasmine outside in the garden permanently. The leaves may drop in winter but in the summer there will be new growth and another mass of flowers.
If your plant still appears to be thirsty and the leaves dry, try spraying the leaves with water to keep them moist. If the leaves appear scorched or crispy check that they are not too close to the glass. Leaves and buds can both be scorched or chilled by contact with window glass.
