This weeks lemon meyers are quite small as pictured but they do have some nice miniature green fruits beginning to develop. As these lemon trees are still quite young plants we are only expecting them to hold one or two of their fruit through to harvest this year but of course they will grow on year after year eventually producing substantial crops of tasty sweet lemons.

How to Look After our Plants
Looking after your Lemon Tree
These instructions are sent with the plant gift
This plant has both decorative fruit and fragrant flowers – sometimes both at once. It can bring pleasure for months, or even years, with the right care.
Citrus trees need light. A conservatory is ideal but they will also be happy near a window in a cool, bright room. In the summer, your lemon plant will enjoy a patio in partial shade. However young trees are not hardy and will need to come inside as soon as there is a nip in the evening air. Try to keep your plant away from cold draughts, direct sunlight and radiators.
Lemons tend to grow slowly; if you need to, repot in the spring in citrus compost.
Citrus trees are not the easiest of plants but they are very rewarding. Look out for signs of trouble and try to treat problems early. The most common problem is leaves dropping due to over watering - cut back any dead wood and be patient while it recovers. This time keep it thirsty.
