Christmas Plant Gifts
Plants make great gifts for christmas and with a huge range of fruiting citrus trees, exotics, and traditional flowering plants you are sure to find something to please everyone at Plants4Presents.
From traditional favourites including poinsettias and hyacinths to large stand alone lemon and calamondin trees our range of plants for christmas 2011 contains well over 70 plants for indoors and for the garden.
Our most popular giftslast year were the decorated rosemary and bay trees - gifts that are as useful as they are beautiful. So much more interesting than a traditional pine, the foliage of these trees can be used in cooking all year round and the trees are easy to care for inside or out.
All the decorations are made and tied by hand and at the end of the festive season can be easily removed and composted - great for you and the environment.
Or why not go for something more fruity? our spectacular giant calmondin trees compliment our other larger citrus and olive trees and are the easiest of the citrus trees to care for, producing masses of scented white flowers and bright orange fruit almost all year round.
In this country citrus trees need to be protected from frost but they will do well in any bright cool room or conservatory.
The
fruits are good in drinks and marmalades and the trees crop so heavily they
seem to always been in either fruit or flower and sometimes both at once!
Christmas wouldn't be christmas with boxing day turkey curry so prepare early with spicy chilli plants delivered in fruit.
This apache variety has been one of our best sellers for the last few years and makes a great smaller gift for cooks, or those who just like their curry hot!
Perfect on the windowsil these dwarf chillis are particularly late croppers anyway but have also been raised especially for Christmas. With regular pruning and feeding they will continue to fruit right through christmas and into the new year.
You can order online for Christmas deliveries up to 3 months in advance (from the beginning of September) by choosing a December delivery date on the order form.
However most of these christmas gifts won't be advertised on the main website until a bit nearer the time.
If in any doubt
please do give us a call on 0845 226 8026 or
drop us an email.
We do recommend ordering earlier than the last week as some of our more popular plants are
in limited supply. As always, as soon as we have sold out of a particular plant
we will update the website to indicate that they are no longer available. This
means that any remaining plants we have in stock are reserved for earlier
orders.
All our plant gifts are carefully wrapped and boxed by hand in specially designed plant boxes to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Plants are packed in recycled and biodegradable packaging wherever possible and don't forget standard delivery is just £6.50 per address - however many plants you order!.
Christmas Day 2011 falls on a Sunday therefore the
nearest delivery date to Christmas is Friday 23rd December. As both the courier network and
Royal Mail get extremely busy at christmas time we do recommend that you choose a date in the previous week if possible.
If you have any queries on christmas delivery services please do get in touch on 0845 226 8026.
Last years weather in the run up to Christmas was extremely challenging however we were very proud of the way our staff and courier network dealt with the problems. in stark contrast to the failings of some of the larger companies we were pleased to be able to delivery over 99.5% of our parcels by the christmas deadline. Please do be reassured that whatever is said in the press some internet companies ARE very reliable and we will always pull out all the stops to make sure your gift arrives.
If we do have similar ice and snow in christmas week this year we do reserve the right to send plants out slightly earlier but as you can see from some of the kind comments on our testimonials pages from last year we won't stop until everything is delivered. |
