Living herbs make great gifts

Whether it is a birthday gift, a "get well" or a "thank you" there is nothing better than a collection of living herbs. That must be why our herb planters are one of our most popular gifts all year round.

The windowsill herbs are supplied as trios of individual pots, so that even when a herb  is spent, you can renew the planter with another pot from a supermarket or garden centre. You might choose to plant the perennial herbs outside, and then they will spread and grown in the garden.

The herb basket is more suitable for a shelf, tabletop or porch - or outside on the patio from spring to autumn. These herbs are going to be more long-lasting, because their roots have plenty of space to support the growth.

All herbs are raised locally, and then grown on in our East Sussex nursery. In summer we have a full range of choices from basil and coriander to parsley, thyme, oregano, sage and rosemary. In winter months we focus on strong perennials like thyme and rosemary which still thrive when it is dull and cold.
