How we deliver

All our plants are carefully selected by hand, prepped, bagged, gift wrapped and boxed in specially designed plant boxes to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition on the day.

You can choose to send either by Royal Mail or by overnight Courier. Our standard delivery charge is £7, extra costs may apply to Saturday deliveries and for remote areas (see below).

Delivery choices are on the order form. You can click through to the order form at any time (without logging in or committing to a purchase) to check the best delivery method on different plants and to different addresses. Don’t forget to change the delivery region in the middle of the form if you are sending to Scotland, Northern Ireland or UK isles to see all prices.

Our recommended delivery method (and default setting) is ‘"Mon-Fri Courier - can be left". This tracked overnight service means your plants arrive either next day or on the day you specify and spend minimum time in transit. This service costs £7 to England, Wales, and the south of Scotland. Royal Mail is a better choice for Saturday or for the remoter areas. However, please be aware that Royal Mail will not be offered as an option for larger plants, or multiple boxes.

Our tracked deliveries do not require a signature and don't forget you can specify exactly where you would like the parcel left using the special instructions box.

In detail:

  • Our Monday-Friday courier service uses the APC courier network which covers the whole of the UK. This is a tracked service, and you are notified by email when the gift arrives. We have chosen this courier because on average they are the best in terms of caring for the gift boxes, and providing a helpful telephone service when there are queries or difficulties.
  • Royal Mail 24 is a new service  with an excellent reputation (over 95% delivered on time). One of the advantages of choosing Royal Mail is that the postman has local knowledge, and will not leave the box at the wrong address. They will often know where items can be left safe. The only drawback compared to a courier service is that it is not tracked, so you don't know where it is until it arrives.
  • Royal Mail Tracked Next Day is an excellent service (99% delivered on time) and does not need a signature.  It is more expensive than Royal Mail 24, but the box is tracked at every stage of the journey, like a courier service, so you always know where your gift is, and whether it has been delivered.
  • Royal Mail Tracked Next Day will not be offered as an option if the delivery includes a large box, as Royal Mail do not take boxes more than 61cm high. In that case the top option will be courier (no signature required).
  • If you need a Saturday delivery date you need to choose from one of the services that delivers on a Saturday.
  • For the lighter and smaller plants you can choose a Royal Mail (either 24hr or Tracked) delivery for a Saturday at no extra charge.
  • If you want to send a larger plant to arrive on a Saturday you will need to choose the 'Saturday AM Courier' delivery from the drop down menu in the middle of the order form and the delivery date will automatically change to the next available Saturday.
  • Unfortunately due to restrictions on airfreight and ferry operators it is not possible to send our larger plants to more remote areas of the UK - sorry you are probably best to choose a smaller plant and send by Royal Mail Tracked to these areas. Do ring if you need advice.
  • If you still have questions about our delivery or any other aspects of our service please see our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ page on the left hand menu. Or give us a call on 01825 721162 we're always happy to help.
