This is the first year we have got this unusual plants to flower and they are now looking really good with several long strap like leaves and a cluster of flowers forming at the base. Just as pictured.
Also known as Nakima or Tupistra nutans this unusual rhizome produces edible blooms that are eaten in indian in a variety of dishes. Reported to taste like spicy button mushrooms this is a great gift for an adventurous chef!
