These pretty shrubs are covered in delicate pale pink blooms all the way from early spring to mid-summer. Originating from sunny climes, they will thrive on a warm, bright windowsill in the cooler months and a sunny patio or balcony in summer.

Boronia are originally from Australia and will do best in a bright room or conservatory. In the warmer summer months, you can move your plant out onto a sunny, sheltered patio or balcony if you wish.

Your Boronia will need regular but not over watering. The soil should be allowed to dry out a little on the top before watering again. They need regular watering but shouldn’t stand in water.

As the flowers fade, pinch out the dead blossoms to encourage new growth and keep your plant looking tidy.

Problem solving

Boronia love light, if your plant is not flowering well, try moving it to a sunnier position.

Be careful to only move your plant outside in warm weather, Boronia are tender and will suffer if exposed to cold conditions.

On a sunny windowsill your plant can dry out quickly so do keep an eye on the watering in summer and move back from the glass into indirect sunlight if you are struggling to keep up with the watering.
