At Plants4Presents we hate waste and particularly single use plastic tat that ends up straight in the bin. As parents ourselves we wanted a solution to throwaway party bags so we put our heads together with the creative mind of Charlotte at 'The Kids Party Pact' and came up with a creative plant based idea that your kids will love.

What's in the box?

  • 12 x miniature easy care spider plants
  • 12 x 7cm diameter terracotta pots
  • A sheet of mixed sticker stencils
  • A top tips sheet on running a pot painting party
  • More info on the Kids Party Pact

Use your own craft supplies to paint or colour the pots, you can use the included stencils or let the kids get creative on their own. Chalk pens, acrylic pens, sharpies and poster paints all work well on the terracotta pots and your kids will have loads of fun customising the pots just the way they like them and best of all the party guests get to take their pots and a real life living plant home too .

Spider plants are non-toxic, pet safe and super easy houseplants - suitable for even the youngest of children to look after.

Need more than 12? Order 2 or more boxes of 12 and claim free delivery .

Plants will come individually tissue wrapped, ready to drop into the decorated pots when you're ready - to help keep mess to a minimum ; )

At Plants4Presents we're always striving to reduce our impact on the environment. All our packaging is plastic free and fully recyclable or compostable and these spider plants are propagated on site at our Sussex nursery making them a truly sustainable choice as part of our Paint your own Plant Pots Party Kit.

Over time the young spider plants can be repotted and the miniature terracotta reused for seeds or other little plants.

Who knows a simple party favour could help create a gardener for the future with our unique Paint your own Plant Pots Party Kit.

Care Instrictions

These instructions are sent with the plant gift

Spider plants are very easy-going house plants and are known for their air cleaning properties.

Spider plants need to be protected from frost but do very well in a range of rooms from full sun, to half shade.

In the spring and summer when the plant is growing it will need to be watered fairly often to stop the compost from drying out. In the winter when the plant is resting you will need to water it much less often, aim to keep the soil just damp rather than wet. Over time your plant should fill out, producing young baby plantlets from the root and sometimes from long stems in the centre of the plant. These ‘suckers’ can be replanted to create new plants if you wish and will grow on and establish themselves easily in just general purpose potting compost.

Spider plants can be kept small by restricting the pot size but if you want to encourage it to grow on you may choose to repot it into a larger pot late in the summer. Choose a 1L pot and an ordinary potting compost.

Problem Solving:

Brown tips to the leaves are the result of a dry atmosphere, try giving your plant a good misting and water more regularly.
