This is a hardy semi-evergreen Daphne x Odora with small, very fragrant tubular flowers, they flower in the winter months.
This Daphne likes a sunny or part shaded spot in the border or in a pot on the patio and prefers well drained soil.
Daphne are not thirsty plants but will appreciate being kept damp whilst they settle in after planting. Water regularly whilst in a pot once the top of the soil has dried. To keep them happy and flowering as long as possible add a few drops of ordinary house plant feed in their water every few waterings.
It is unlikely that you will get any pests or diseases, but if you do just wash the leaves and buds with soapy water.
