Care Instrictions

These instructions are sent with the plant gift

Also known as a Council tree, this Ficus altimissa is a very easy to care for and its variegated leaves make a striking to any room in the home.

Your Ficus will be happiest in a bright room where they can get plenty of indirect sunlight, east or west facing windows are ideal. Be careful not to place your plant too close to a window as bright direct sunlight, especially in the summer, may lead to scorching. These plants will do well at normal room temperature and will appreciate some extra humidity from occasional misting.

During the spring and summer your plant will need regular watering, aim to keep the soil moist. Be careful not to overwater your plant as it will begin to suffer if left sitting in water. During the winter you will likely find your plant doesn’t need watering as regularly.

Problem solving:

These plants are generally very easy going. Wiping the leaves with a damp cloth every now and then will help to keep your plant’s leaves looking healthy and bright. For more information about your Ficus altimissa or our other plants visit www.plants4presents.co.uk or call 01825 721162.
