Senetti (pericallis) are perennials producing oval green leaves and pretty daisy-like flowers to add a splash of colour to a garden or balcony. They will love being on a patio or sunny border during the summer, but as they are tender, they will be best kept in a sheltered spot during cold weather. Long flowering, simply dead head from time to time to prolong the blooms.

Senetti (pericallis) are perennials producing oval green leaves and pretty daisy-like flowers to add a splash of colour to a garden or balcony.

Your Senetti will do best in a sheltered position, in full sun or partial shade in the garden either planted out in the ground or kept in a pot on a patio or balcony.

When planting out, dig a nice big hole and add some compost or well-rotted manure to help your plant settle in. Keep your plant well-watered whilst it is establishing and then water as necessary. If keeping your plant in a container, it would be best to pot it on during the summer, any nice big pot with a well draining container compost will be great. Whilst in a pot it will need more regular watering, especially in warm weather. Senetti don’t like to dry out, aim to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.

Deadhead from time to time to prolong flowering and keep your plant looking neat. Your Senetti is a perennial and will die back in the autumn. Over-winter in a dry, cool, frost-free location ready for new growth to appear in the spring.

Problem Solving

Senetti are tender and will suffer in cold weather. Keep your plant in a sheltered spot as soon as temperatures begin to drop.
