Plant Gift Trends for 2025 & Christmas 2025

What’s been popular at Plants4Presents this year?

As 2025 draws to a close and we find ourselves right in the heart of the Christmas rush, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the plant gift trends we’ve seen throughout the year, and especially over the festive season. With classic Christmas favourites and interesting shifts in shopping patterns, this year has brought some clear trends across our plant gift range at Plants4Presents.

Return to Traditional Festive Colours

Over recent years, alternative White Poinsettias have been the most popular colour choice. In fact, back in 2024 we completely sold out of White Poinsettias by the 10th December.

However, 2025 has seen a strong revival of classic festive reds. This year, demand for Red Poinsettias surged, and by the 12th December we had sold out of all sizes of Red Poinsettias, with whites and pinks still available. A clear sign that customers are embracing a more traditional Christmas look once again.

Christmas Classics Still Reign Supreme

When it comes to Christmas gifting, some plants never go out of style. Poinsettias and Hyacinths remain some of our best sellers, and this year they’ve been more popular than ever.

Alongside these classics, we’ve seen strong demand for other seasonal stars such as Giant Amaryllis thanks to their long lasting blooms, and Cyclamen which continue to be a go to present for corporate gifts.

One notable shopping trend we’ve observed this Christmas is a shift towards one larger gift or seasonal planter being send as a single gift for the whole family. Many customers are choosing to send one generous plant or arrangement to a whole household, rather than sending smaller individual gifts.
